Background

Allied Express is one of the largest independently owned courier, express freight, and specialised logistics companies in Australia. The Company has a solid platform of nationwide infrastructure, substantial scale as well as a strong, established, and recognisable brand. 

Allied Express has achieved significant growth and profitability, in recent years primarily due to its ability to utilise its platform to respond effectively to an accelerated structural shift towards e-commerce. It has scaled its agile end-to-end distribution network, in-house technological capabilities, national service coverage and flexible network of owner-operator drivers to provide cost effective customer solutions in this growing space.

Our role

The engagement involved 333 Capital working closely with Allied Express� shareholders to find a partner that was culturally aligned, and equally passionate about their vision of Allied\'s future. In tandem, 333 Capital provided the shareholders with competitive transaction terms and an outcome that met the objectives of the shareholders.
  
 As lead advisors throughout the transaction, 333 Capital�s role included:

  • Tailoring the transaction strategy to meet the objectives of shareholders, which involved the exploration and analysis of several viable options (IPO, PE, and trade partner)

  • Assistance in preparing feasibility analyses and business cases for growth capital expenditure

  • Identifying, targeting, and engaging in discussions with Freightways

The result
